Day 27: Sad News

I found out tonight that the President of our Church (we are LDS/Mormon), Gordon B. Hinckley, has passed away. This was one of the most amazing men to walk this earth. He's basically been the president for most of the time that I've been a member, and his sunny outlook and beautiful talks have always made me think and given me hope. His wife was such a sweet woman as well, a beautiful speaker and you could tell how in love they were, even after 67 years of marriage. I really hope CJ and I are as happy as they were after that long.

Rest in peace, President Hinckley. You will be missed greatly, but we know that you are happy and once again with your beloved Marjorie. Thank you for the example that you set for all of us, and the faith you showed the world.

Day 26: Keeping Him Warm

CJ always seems to have cold feet. So it falls on me, the wonderful wife that I am, to keep them warm.

Okay, I'm not that nice, most of the time. But as long as he doesn't want me to do anything other than rest my hands on them or allow him to rest his feet on me, then I don't have that big a problem with them.

Day 25: Boo

Day 24: Slurp.

Ahhhh... sweet coke. I fully admit I borderline on addiction to this drink. I love it. I don't have it everyday, but I could see it happening if we constantly had it in the house. That's why we don't have it that often. Boooo.

Day 23: He Certainly Is.

The shirt says it all.

Day 22: *snort*

Me cracking up after reading something freaking hilarious from my rockin' awesome friend Erin.

erin has a giiiiiiiiirlfriend, erin has a giiiiiiiiiiiiiirlfriend!
*tee hee*

Day 21: My Boy

I realise that the majority of my pictures involve Jameson. A big reason is because, quite honestly, he can't run away from me yet. Heheheh. But also because the majority of my day involves holding or feeding him, so he's constantly within camera reach. Besides, who wouldn't want a picture with that cutie patootie? He can make anyone look good.

Day 20: Awww...

He's got my thighs. *tee hee*

Day 19: Incognito

K, not really... but this is how I'm sure the neighbours think I always look. A hoodie and sunglasses on almost all the time. Not because I'm trying to look all spy-like (or stalkerish, in Kates case :) ) but because I have really sensitive eyes in the sun, and the more shade I get to cover them, the better behaved I am. Hee hee.

Day 18: Love This Boy

Love him. Love him love him love him love him love him love him love him.

Did I mention I love him?

*sigh*

Day 17: Boy in Action

Yep. That skinny blur is my Porter. I love how this picture turned out, because yet again, it epitomizes the boy that I love; always in motion, always doing something. Rare is the moment that you catch him just relaxing or not doing anything. Even watching movies he almost always is also playing with a car, or playing with letters, or something. This photo is of one of our favorite games. I lay on the floor and he comes flying down the hall at full tilt, and runs right into me, giggling hysterically. He will do this as long as I am laying on the floor. Good thing I'm nice and squishy to land on, eh?

Day 16: Care Bear-ified Computer

How I feel like I spent my day -- printing out Care Bear picture after Care Bear Picture. I'll take a photo of the reason later.

Day 15: Blue Eyed Girls

Me and my girl. I love that her eyes are still as blue as when she was a baby, everyone kept telling us that they would change, but they were wrong! She's quite the sight to see, with her white blonde hair, light blue eyes and pale skin. And even moreso when she's giving you her "are you looking at ME? you better not be looking at me..." evil eye stare. It's skeery.

Day 14: Chop Chop

I'm thinking I need my bangs cut.... yes. I definitely need my bangs cut.

Day 13: Boo.

Was in a blah mood. Nuff said.

Day 12: Smiles for me

Not a good picture of me at all, but Jameson's smiling at me in it, so it has to be posted. Couldn't you just gobble him up?

Day 11: Kiss Kiss pt. 2

Mercy, unlike Porter, will almost always give and receive kisses when you ask her, or when she asks. Maybe it's the girl in her... who knows. But I am definitely not complaining.
You'll have to wait for pt. 3 til Jameson figures out kisses, sorry! :D

Day 10: Kiss Kiss

This is blurry, but I like how it looks. Shows P as he always is, constantly on the move, and I have to grab him in order to give him kisses! :)

Day 9: Diaper time

How I spend a good part of my day--diaper changes. I love that you can see how wierd J's hair is in this picture too, how on the top he looks bald, but the sides and the back actually have a good amount of hair. Heheheh, I hope the top eventually grows more so he's not a baldie for life!

Day 8: gulp!

A big glass of water. Straight from the.... fridge. Heh. I'm trying to drink more water, and honestly, I really just love seeing the bubbles when I fill up my glass. It's the kid in me.

Day 7: kickle kickle!!

That's how Mercy says "tickle", which she looooves to have done to her. She'll creep up to us, hunched over and tucking her chin into her neck (that's where she's most ticklish) and crossing her arms so her hands are in her armpits, and give us her "please tickle me!" smile. Which, of course, we are obligated to do. And oh, the giggles that ensue... they usually attract Porter from wherever he was playing, so that he can get "kickies" too.

Day 6: The Love of My Life...?

i wanted to get a picture of cj and i, all nice and romantic, cuddled on the couch. but the blanket i pulled out he didn't like, it was pink. so that started him whinging about not wanting to be in a picture, which led to me saying i didn't want a picture with him after all, which led, somehow, to us having a funny pillow fight. and the resulting picture (i TOTALLY nailed him in the head with the pillow, score one for laurie) completely captures our relationship better than any posed cheesy shot.
he's my pillow whooping best friend.

Day 5: Busy Books Make Still Feet

Porter and I. I wish that I could say we lounged and read for a long time, but behind that book is a toy ambulance that needed to cruise the couch length.

Day 4: I Wish...

that you, dear head of lettuce, was a big gooey mess of chocolate cake.

Or a bag of All Dressed Ruffles.

But I'll stick with you, lettuce, because you can help me more than the cake can. *sigh*

Day 3: He's Not As Impressed...

I fully admit I am NO professional photographer. Never was, never will be. But I'm trying to learn to take better pics with my Rebel, and to not use the flash unless absolutely necessary. And who better to test my skillz on then the ones who can't really say no!!

Day 2: Death By Laundry

Okay, so that's not really true. CJ did most of the laundry. But it was SUCH a photo op, how could I not?!

Day 1: Me and The Boy

I love the evenings, after 8pm. Mostly because then M and P are in bed, and it's just J and I. And all he wants to do is snuggle and nurse, sleep and smile.

Could you ask for a better companion?

i think not.
another blog, you say?

yes.

but this one is for pictures! more specifically, i'm trying to do a 365 project, 365 self portraits of me. they'll probably almost always have a kid or two in them, and might get boring. too bad, suck it up and pretend you like them.

tee hee.
