Day 22

M coming off the bus in the rain. She loves umbrellas, she wanted to stay outside with it.
P and J, watching the rain and waiting for M to come home. (And J trying to figure out why P was hugging him)
J was fascinated by the rain. Just fascinated! He sat at the doorway and just watched the rain come down for ages, never trying to get out in it. Just watching, like he usually does. He's so observant for a one year old.

Day 21

M, waiting for the schoolbus, quite impatiently, especially since it had been raining all day and she couldn't wait outside like usual.

P and his snacks. He loves sorting his snacks by color or shape.

J decided to let his creativity flow, onto a Thomas book. At least the crayon was blue so it matched!

Day 20

M and the first tutu I have ever made! And it was SUCH a huge pain in the tush. But she had a blast running around in it, and insisted on wearing her hat too. Such style!
P and his pink lollipop that he was so thrilled to have! These kids are sweet addicts.

Cute little feet. They're the last part of him that still looks like when he was a baby.

Day 19

Watching a momentous day, no matter who you voted for. They won't remember watching it, but I will.
"Wook! The Pwesident car!"
Caught P at a perfect time on the TV.
J, more interested in his banana than waiting for the President and President-elect.

Day 18

Dorito face, and so happy about it.

P enjoying some stolen Doritos. Don't worry, M got him back by taking some Goldfish crackers from him later.

J playing doctor. Or maybe mechanic.

Day 17

Day 16

M being M... one of my most favorite photos of the day.
P with grandma after one of his many falls. Darn rocks, always getting in the way of superheroes and dinosaur hunting.

J and papa, having deep thoughts and conversations.

Day 15

M and fish #4 (he's right above the blue rocks towards the left end of the photo). We got her 4 fish for her birthday in August, and this fish was the last one swimming. She wasn't a very involved fish owner, but she did like to see the fish swimming around and liked to feed him every so often. Sadly, fish #4 passed away shortly after this photo was taken. I knew I shouldn't have changed the water... No new fishies yet, maybe later. And something very durable.

P and papa. P was enchanted with papa's reading and voices for the Cars book, and had him read it a few times.
J with his namesake, his papa. J's middle name is after my stepdad Richard, because middle names are family names with us, and I wanted a way to honor all that he has done and been for my mum and I, and now my own family. His strength and faith are something I hope J models himself after, and I hope J always knows he can go to his papa for anything big or small... especially the nasty math problems that I'll be no help with in high school.

Day 14

M asleep in bed. She tosses and turns, her hair gets all messy and matted, and she talks/mumbles/kicks the wall. It's a miracle P can sleep through it, but he does, like a rock.
P and I "reading" a Thomas pamphlet. Plotting out their future purchases perhaps? The two of them completely ignored the playground and all the other kids for a good 15 minutes just to look at the trains.
J is getting so fussy in the stroller, I can't even bribe him with crackers to stay in it. As soon as he's out he crawls right over to the "climbing wall" and pulls up, so he can observe everything from a better view perhaps?

Day 13

My camera and I weren't on the same wavelength this day, and I'm grumpy about it, but oh well.

M telling me a story, I think. Honestly.... I'm not really sure what she's doing. I think I just kept this photo because it's classic M: jacket about to fall off her shoulders, hair askew, slightly dirty face, and chattering about something.
P trying to act like his shirt. "P, what does a monster say?" Ps arms go up and forward, fingers into claws "RRRAAAAARRRRRRRWWWW!!!!!"
J using one hand to play with the turning picture/number things at the park, chugging a bottle with the other hand. Multitasker...

Day 12

The epitomy of a fashion faux pas? Perhaps... but she picked it out herself, so who am I to interfere. Purple dress, light blue with flowers leggings, bright fuchsia striped socks, polkadot All Stars, bright green sweatshirt, and a gingerbread bow. Classic.
This is I, Ps bestest friend. The two of them are adorable together, and would be attached at the hip all the time if we parents let them. They're hilarious too, always running around outside, laughing hysterically. I'm glad that P has such a cute buddy, and that his parents rock too.
J, sunning his toes at the park. It's been really warm for January, so he's taking full advantage of it. Can't blame him, that sun feels gooooood.

Day 11

New shoes!! And All Stars at that. I freaking LOVE All Stars, but we got M a pair last year and she just wasn't into them. Maybe because they were a boring pink... but THESE have polkadots! In any case, she adores them, score!
I was cutting tulle for a tutu and P decided I needed assistance from a firetruck. "Wo0OO0oo..." Thank heavens for the H Fire Department, saving me from mass amounts of pink tulle!
This is a shirt mum brought back from France for P when he was J's age, and I absolutely adore it. It says "a dream of a kid" on the back, and the front is a little story. It's one of the softest shirts I've ever felt, and it's just so cute.

Day 10

I found some "slime" that a friend gave me as a joke for my birthday, and M was fascinated! She and P sat at the table and played with it for almost an hour straight, they had a blast.
I accidentally erased the photo of P for day 10!!! So I went back a year (and a few days) and found this of him, chilling on the couch and watching a movie. He looks so much less-babylike now... makes me sad.
J got into my church bag and found a baggy of Goldfish and pretzels, and happily sat behind the couch for almost 20 minutes before I found him there, munching away.

Day 9

M loves her Sprite. Loooooves her Sprite. And can chug it with the best of them!

P and his Thomas. So happy, can play for hours, all by himself, as long as he has some tracks and trains. Peep peep!

Not the best picture of J, but he had just woken up from a nap, so he has his sleepy face still. Blurry eyed, blotchy skinned, and gripping that bubby like his happiness depended on it.

Day 8

Jagged little pill?? Sort of. This is what we call "teeth candy". It's a fluoride pill that the dentist prescribed for M and P. They get one each after they've brushed their teeth and are about to get in bed. They have to chew it so the fluoride gets on their teeth and stays there as they sleep, hopefully. They both love it, it's a fight to see who gets it first. (Usually M, but P's getting faster...)

Just look at that face!! He was so proud that he made "a ciwcle" with his cars on the little stool. He worked on it for quite a bit, making sure it was perfect in his eyes.
Not the best pic of J (love that double chin though), but he thinks it's so freaking funny to have a diaper hat. We put it on, he chortles, he pulls it off and hands it to us, and we repeat the cycle. So cute!

Day 7

M watching something scary... possibly a football game.

P watching Cars, his favorite movie. He could watch it over and over and over...
J with a waffle in one hand, and a Thomas in the other. Could life get any better?

Day 6

P and one of his many toys. He's so funny, he loves any toy and will sit and play with almost anything you give him, from the whackiest of happy meal toys to the most expensive of brand name toys. Easy to please, nothing wrong with that!
The satellite guy came and hooked us up today, and the whole time he was here M was outside watching him, very serious. Future career as either a satellite installer or as a spy... very possible. (Funny that this is the first picture that Molly the dog made it into, seeing as P and J play with her way more than M does!)
Augh, I LOVE this photo!! J loves giving CJ kisses, just loves it. Even though J is more a mummys boy than a daddys boy, he kisses CJ so much more than me. It's their "thing" I guess. When I go in to wake CJ up, J comes with me and I say "where's daddy?" J looks around the room til he sees him and then breaks out in a huge grin. Then I plop him down on CJ, CJ asks him for kisses, and J willingly obliges!

Day 5

M got a play kitchen for Christmas, and absolutely LOVES it. She "made" me this sandwich for dinner, but since I was actually cooking the real dinner at the time, I told her to eat it for me. Looks tasty, no?

P can't function without his Goldfish snacks. Doesn't matter what flavor or color, he just loves those crackers. Good thing too, they're nice and easy to take to Church for a snack!

Ah... my sweet, smiley J-man. This kid finds joy in just everything. Finding toys he forgot about or can only now really play with, especially. He was movin' and groovin' with the music on this learning table thing, and laughing away. (Don't mind the piece of goldfish stuck to his chin, P is learning to share with him more)
